I liked Benny Hester back in the Taff days too.

In the late 70's in addition to good contemporary christian music I was listening to Olivia Newton John, Bread, and a lot of the Bee Gees! I will also admit I like disco music and listened to a lot of that on the radio although I didn't buy the albums.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Yes bread has a very mellow sound. I just had one of their CDs at home from the library here a while back. The BeeGees, well they were popular but quite different. We were never into disco much. It was kind of "uncool" to like disco. But I can't say I disliked it either.

He's actually gotten pretty much past that in the past few years. His dad was an alcoholic... and a preacher. They had some very real issues that never got worked out before his father died. Russ also struggled with addiction for a while. I read his story online somewhere, very interesting. But at some point a few years ago he really had a breakthrough. I think you can tell it in him now, he's much more peaceful.

Pandora is a website. If you have a computer you have Pandora. Pandora.com - you can create your own 'station' to listen to.
