not only do they force people to join unions against their will, they charge dues, and then those dues are spent to promote things many union members think are wrong or unethical.
I worked at General Electric in the Cincinnati, Ohio area from 1966 to 1998. I saw the way the union members worked so slowly that productivity was poor. I saw the way they flaunted laziness and bad attitudes realizing they could not lose their jobs because they were union. I saw the way they would go on strike and block the gates so people who wanted to work could not enter the plant. I saw the nails and broken glass they spread in the driveways so people were afraid to drive in. I saw how when the union would go on strike and refuse to work, salaried people would perform those jobs and productivity would go up. I saw how work had to be out sourced and moved to different locations because of union slowdowns. Building 700 was at one time the largest manufacturing facility under one roof. It was filled with machines. Later the jobs were moved out and the machines sold. Last time I walked through that building it was just a vast empty place. At one time there were about 20,000 employees in that facility and when I retired in 1998 we were down to 8,500.

Ohio is a "right to work" state. At GE where I worked we had the UAW (United Automobile, Aerospace, and Agricultural Implement Workers) and we also had the Machinists Union. When I went to work there in 1966 I did not have to join the union as a condition of employment but I did join for fear of how I would be treated by union members. Those who did not belong to the union were sneeringly referred to as "freeloaders" and "fleas" on a dog. I do not know of any personal injuries or death to those who did not join but I didn't want to take a chance.

There are many of us who like to hear the words of this wise and consistent warrior for right and law. Ron Paul was right before I knew what right was. What a great patriot that this country need never forget darkened the doors of the leading houses of this nation.
Of him... our founding fathers would be proud.

Re: I Knew It....
I have to admit the more I listen to Ron Paul, the more I like what I hear.
Sort of funny, for a long time I would not listen to him because he had been so "demonized" as a kook.
