Because Peter points out that they were speaking in tongues like the others were, and that he was witnesses them receive them Spirit does not establish that as "exclusive" evidence.
It does to me. Okay, enough! LOL!

Sorry, noeticknight, unless God shows me something else, I'll have to believe what I believe.

No need to apologize. We're just offering up opinions here.

Yeah, but do you believe it is necessary for salvation?

yes. in fact I am the rare exception to the "internet rule"

I have become more conservative since i found these forums.

AND let me also add, that where i disagree with my more conservative brothers, I still have very deep respect for thier views and convictions.

So could I get an idea of what's here at AFF and just see what people believe by asking these questions?

1: Do you believe that water baptism must be done in the name of Jesus and that any other baptism is not a valid baptism?

2: Do you believe that the infilling of the Holy Ghost is evidenced only by speaking with other tongues?

3: Do you believe these things are absolutely necessary in order to be saved and ready for heaven?

4: Do you hold as a core value the basics of traditional pentecostal holiness which is: Men: full length pants, shirts with sleeves, short hair, Women: uncut hair, no makeup, no pants, shirts with sleeves?

5: Do you believe a trinitarian will go to heaven?
1. the name of "Jesus"?
which Jesus?
There are several people in the New Testament with this name.
Ref Acts 7:45; Hebrews 4:8 Joshua, the successor to Moses is called Jesus
Then there is the magician named Bar-Jesus or son of Jesus/Joshua/Yeshua/Yehoshua in Acts 13:8
And a believer named Jesus Justis in Colossians 4:11.
And there are many Hispanic men named Jesus.
In the Old Testament Joshua is mentioned many times

Jesus/Yeshua/Joshua/Yehoshua was a very common name in the first century. I have read that one out of every males was named Yeshua. The most common male names at that time were:
1.Simon or Shi'mon
2. Joseph or Yosef
3. Judah or Yehudah
4. John or Yochanan
5. Eleazar and Yeshua were tied for fifth place.
