Re: This forum needs a name change...
AFF doesn't need a "Name Change!" With some folks it just needs an "attitude change!" It just needs for some of the posters to lighten up a bit! They're wearing their shorts way too tight! Why I posted some funny remarks recently and some of them didn't even laugh! Now why do you think they'd be that way? Now, now... don't tell me I wasn't funny.

It only takes about a second to walk into a strip club and realize you are in a bad place.
If you changed the name of the forum at least some wouldn't even make the mistake of walking in.

Well, if it only takes a second, then no harm done.
But most of us don't feel AFF is like a strip club, or a "bad place."
Thanks for your two sense. Go kiss your wife and quit hanging around "bad places."

I was unaware that there was any sort of "membership" involved here. It's pretty much an open board and anyone can post at any time. Membership would actually tame that problem but not without opening up other issues.
There are times when things get a little rough, at least to my tastes. I also don't like it when someone's kids are brought up or when kids are named and criticized. There are "civilians" in our discussions and "combatants." Leave the "civilians out of it. Talking about the "lackadaisical young people" is one thing, but calling out a name or posting a pic and criticizing someone's wardrobe goes too far, IMHO. But it's been quite a while since any of that has happened.
Number 4 above is a huge problem. Since our nation and society in general can't even do this I suspect it may be a problem that everyone will have to continually work on.

Re: This forum needs a name change...
This pretend angst is smoke and mirrors.
The Great and Powerful Wizard is nothing but a small, insignificant man who rules by bellowing lie after lie after lie.
When we pull the curtain back, and reveal his true nature, he runs and hides.
