My 13 year old daughter received a game for Christmas where she has to create a town complete with taxes, education, water treatment plants, etc.
When she went in the red she tripled the towns taxes and the people revolted. Her response was to bomb the city!!!
THat is why I like the Civilization series of games. The only way I have ever beat any of them is to be a dictator. Every time I have change governmental methods to a repulic or democracy there are just too many people who vote NO on the issue of invading the neighboors. As a despot I can invade whoever I want to.

Well technically the game is not violent, it is basically a civics game, you set up and run a city. When it gets to the point where you have made a mess, you can essentially "start over" when you start over, it blows it up (no blood or carnage, only a black cloud) and you start from scratch.
