Hypocrisy.
BO has taken a bad situation and made it worse. I didn't and don't defend the poor management of the economy by W and the GOP. BO and his ideologue advisors decided to take advantage of the crisis by advocating massive government expansion, spending to such levels that our economy is on the precipice. Yes, he deserves the lion's share of the blame for pushing such a economically harmful agenda.

Many without jobs aren't motivated to work because they are getting unemployment checks many times for more than businesses can hire them for. We can't just keep writing rubber checks to these people and deepening the national debt. Can't you guys get that? The spending has to stop at some point or we are going to collapse!

Hypocrisy? I don't get your point. I think many of BO's supporters are delusional when it comes to defending him. He really has been a poor president in a short amount of time. He will lose in 2012. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't have to fend off an opponent or two for the nomination.

Wrong. The Bush tax cuts created plenty of jobs, my company for one grew on average 13% every year for 4 years. We employed hundreds during those tax cuts. We are locked down right now because we are unsure about the continuation of the tax cuts, if they are not extended then we will sell off equipment and lay off people in order to have the money to pay the taxes. If the tax cuts stay in place then we will continue to use the extra money to expand.

Obama will not allow the issue to come before the 2011 house because he would lose the public. Why do you think he has made a turn around on the subject ? Because he knows its the only way we are going to get out of this reccession. Oh , they hate it, just like you do, by extending the cuts they are having to admit that Bush may have done something right. But they honestly have no choice. Without this extension we will go under. Our economy will not survive the way we are going right now.

You must not have read my opening post. This whole thread was started as a result of my angst at the GOP compromising with BO and adding to the debt. That's why the title of the thread is "Obama/GOP Compromise: Bad Deal for Americans".

I reject any deficit spending whether by GOP or Dems. You however seem to be okay when BO does it but cry when Republicans do it. That is hypocrisy.

You are totally misapplying scripture if you think you can make a case for socialism based on Acts. There is 10 times more Bible for hard work, investing, stewardship, wise business practices, etc. than you could ever find for some sort of socialistic philosophy.
