Antique Memories...A message about life...
Antique Memories
I’d like a place on the wall,
and not just down the hall
A light would be nice
but not to bright, it would distract
from my intrigue and mystery.
Catch attention I could,
though not that I would,
and not from just those for a look-see.
Why I would be the talk of the town
I could never live down,
for my art would be a great memory.
See my words flow together as though
floating on a feather that’s dropped by
a passing clouds fancy.
And maybe sometime soon
or a Sunday afternoon.
I would find a young couple romancing.
As they look to me, they sigh,
“We can’t pass this by.”
And I find myself in a attic collecting static.
And I think to myself,
“I wouldn’t mind a place in the hall.”
