Bible scholars have long noticed the pattern of re-ocurring three's in Scripture. Re: Earth is the third planet and man is body, soul, and spirit. Seth was Adam's third son and began to cry unto the LORD. Noah's three sons were the pro-genitors of all nations after the flood. Jacob's third son was Levi who became Israel's spiritual leader. The Tabernacle was made up of three dimensions. Jesus had an inner circle of three, Peter, James, and John.
Of course the resurrection was after three days and the writer of Proverbs 22:20 said he had written unto us "excellent things". "Excellent" coming from the Hebrew word shaliysh which is a basic word for "three".
Israel was required to attend three of the Feasts acccording to Exodus 23:17.
Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles. Jesus was crucified at Passover, the church was Spirit baptized when Pentecost was fully come and yet Tabernacles remains to be fulfilled. Will there be a "happening of God" some future Feast of Tabernacles to complete the "three excellent things"? Tabernacles is the only Feast to be mentioned that will be observed in the future. I want some honest insight from you "excellent" scholars! Thad might tell you that the Feast of Tabernacles begins at sunset before the day of the controversial vote at General Conference, September 27th. Any relevance?

Are you going to make us look up what the Feast of Tabernacles was about?

Hmmm. 9/27. 9 = 3 times 3. 27 = 3 to the 3rd power. Hmmm.

I can't believe you would bring up the trinity on this forum...(lol)
I believe the feasts are typical of experiences we have in Christ. We died, were buried and crucified with Him. That is initial salvation. The PASSOVER feasts. Passover, Unleavened Bread and firstfruits.
The day of Pentecost was next. No. 4. It ties our lives to the experiences of Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.
Then the autumnal feasts, Trumpets (5), Atonement (6) and Tabernacles (7) are the Passover, unleavened bread and Firstfruits APPLIED TO OUR LIVES until we practically LIVE changed lives of victory. Many are at Pentecost. But they have never come to the last three where the death , burial and resurrection are PRACTICALLY applied to their lives. They struggle with sin. They struggle in faith. But when we truly KNOW the experiences of Christ in His cross andesurrection are our's from which to enjoy the benefits Christ enjoyed -- dominion and power over sin -- we struggle.
Tabernacles is a spiritual place of maturity to which we come when we apply Christ's experiences to our ourselves. As Romans 6:9-11 says, just as much as Christ died once to sin and is now alive unto God, we must consider ourselves to be just as dead to sin and alive unto God. Not partially as much as Christ, but LIKEWISE! And this get s us into power in this life in the here and now. Real Victory!
Passover, Unleavened bread and Firstfruits parallel Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles, if you look carefully. And the first set applies to Christ while the second set takes what is Christ's and applies it to ourselves!
I would not look to man-made orgnaizations and their conferences for the intepretation. lol
Everything focuses on the cross... or should!

Great synopsis. I'm curious though, if the triumvirate of Feasts [Passover, Pentecost, Tabernacles], which were the only ones that everyone had to attend, will remain intact. In other words something dramatic and definite happened with the first two so can we expect something definite and dramatic with the last one? ie ..... "and when the Feast of Tabernacles was fully come" .........!!! There seems to be a unity in the three that should not be broken.

I would say that event-wise, the New Jerusalem (the church) being completed is the fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles.
Rev 21:2-3 KJV And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. (3) And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Revelation is written in such a literary style that every feast is listed and alluded to in the same sequence they occurred in Israel. Hence, the last, Tabernacles, would occur at the end of the book.

I'm real close in what you are saying but have some ways to go yet. But I apppreciate your input and always look forward to your posts. I understand you made a geographic move. I went to a Shepherds Camp in Yucaipa several years ago and thought it was nice there. The big mountains aren't just in the Northern part of California. Hope you are settling in nicely and you are not suffering from culture shock!

We are settling in nicely. And, yes, the mountains are not only in northern CA. We are feeling the cold here now in Forest Falls. Have to start winterizing. Nothing like Winnipeg, Canada, though. lol

The above is a nice view of the Spring Feasts, Bro. Blume.
Yeshua is our Passover Lamb, slain so that the Death Angel will pass over us instead of giving us the death we deserve for our transgression of Torah.
Yeshua is The Bread of Life and the one who is sinless. He epitomizes what the Festival of Matzah is all about: Yeshua is the ultimate unleavened bread.
Yeshua is our First Fruit sheaf. He emerged from a garden tomb on the Festival of First Fruits and became the First Fruits of many brethren.
Yeshua is the central figure in the Feast of Pentecost. He, the One who is The Torah made flesh, made our Passover complete when we received His Spirit at Pentecost. We became His people, a people properly prepared for His Torah to be written on our hearts and made ready for holy service unto Him.
To partake in these Feasts as Believers in Yeshua the Jewish Messiah is to partake in Him and the work He performed during these feasts.

Your view on the Fall Feasts is also nice, in that it is a builder of faith. I see your view on the parallels between the Spring and Fall Feasts, and I agree that all of the Feasts point back to Passover and our deliverance from spiritual Egypt (sin), but I see the Fall Feasts in a different way.
The Feast of Trumpets proclaims G-d is our King. The Messianic context of this feast is that the king has been made known to us in flesh, and we know Him by name. He is King Jesus, Melech Yeshua! We await the fulfillment of this feast, Yom Teruah, when King Jesus comes for His Bride and to reign as King over Jerusalem, Israel, and all the earth. When we hear the last trump from Gabriel's shofar (trumpet), behold! The King Cometh!
The Day of Atonement proclaims G-d is our Judge. Though final atonement was made with Yeshua's blood in the Heavenly Temple, a judgment still awaits us all at the Great White Throne Judgment. This feast, Yom Kippur, reminds us that all will be judged, from the least to the greatest.
The Feast of Booths reminds us that G-d was with us in the wilderness, protecting us from sun, cold, and wind, keeping our clothes and shoes from wearing out, until we received the promise of our inheritance. Messianically speaking, this was given to us in the form of deliverance from death and instead, receiving the gift of eternal life! This feast, Sukkot, is a feast in which we are specifically commanded to rejoice before The LORD! You may (or may not...) be interested to know that there are enough clues in Scripture which indicate that The Master was born during this feast. This is the feast in which G-d tabernacles among His people, and Yeshua tabernacled among us.
To partake in these Feasts as Believers in Yeshua the Jewish Messiah is to partake in Him and the work He will perform during these feasts.

I agree that everything should begin and end with the cross. It's the 'in between' stuff that should make for some good healthy iron-sharpening discussions, Bro. Blume!
