Some Cops Can't Learn!
Omar Rendon, a former Marine sergeant, told the New York Daily News the incident occurred on Jan. 15 right outside the commercial complex where he works as a handyman. He was eating a sandwich and watching a show on his cell phone, he told the Daily News, when an unmarked van pulled up next to him and two plainclothes officers got out and ordered him to step out of the vehicle.
It only gets worse from here.
I hope he sues and wins!

Nothing will happen. Mark my words. They will justify the beating.

Re: Some Cops Can't Learn!
Wait for it.....
PO will post that it's his fault for daring to ask for an ID and not submitting to their demands promptly.
It's odd that a Narc unit targeted him. Normally these units stake out the area or at least would have witnessed something which caused them to try and detain him. They don't usually just target someone on a whim.
Another issue is the search of his car. Did he give permission, or did they blatantly violate his 4th amendment rights?
If the story is accurate, then yes, I hope he sues and wins. There should also be a criminal investigation completed, and if any law was violated, they should be held accountable.
But I just think it's odd they targeted him for no reason, as the article implies.

I don't see how.
There isn't any justification for this nonsense.

"The incident is being investigated as police misconduct rather than a criminal offense, the paper added."
Lots of people have pretended to be Police and law abiding citizens been hurt. So what would you do if two thugs come out of a van and never show you their badge? Yeah you'd be afraid you were gonna die. This should be a criminal investigation at least. They should not have anonymity unless they work undercover and if so they should not be driving around in a van jumping people and yelling POLICE
