Win or lose - Hook 'em Horns!!!!!!

They are not showing that they are going to have a very good year so far. We have a terrible offense this year, no good runners. But, they have my undying support, nonetheless!

Re: Come on UCLA!

Tough loss for my Longhorns. Congrats to UCLA who came into a very tough stadium unranked and beat the #7 team in the Nation.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Come on UCLA!

I thought the Longhorns play calling was horrible. On third downs almost none of the passes were to the down marker must less past it.

Also the execution of the players was pitiful. No sense of where the down marker was. They would run routes short of that and then turn around and wait for the ball and to be immediately tackled.

Having a new quarterback this year is a good excuse for the offense but the Longhorn defense is almost all Juniors and Seniors so their poor performance against an unranked team was especially discouraging.

Right! That's the most frustrating part of it!

If a team comes out and beats us straight out, that's one thing, but all of the errors are inexcusable - dropped balls, dumb penalties and the TO's were stupid mistakes. Some high school teams can play better than that.

Transition time is for someone like the Aggies, Texans aren't going to be happy or put up with it. Mack needs to step up on this one and not go soft, protecting his players and coordinators. We already knew our offense wasn't up to par, but it feels like they are self-destructing. The defense even started imploding.

I haven't seen them play this badly in a long time. They can kiss their title run goodbye. It's over and it was wide open.

Remember that QB was a true freshman last year. He'll get better

Texas will be unranked by seasons end. TCU is the best team in the state.

Re: Come on UCLA!

Sports news says they went to the short passes because of UCLA's smothering def and they were covering the long routes too good.
