I love my pastor!!!

Seeings as how sometimes this forum gets painted that there are only preacher haters and pastor haters on this forum, and,....

To balance out the negative of those that MIGHT have aught in their hearts against the Five Fold Ministry mentioned in Ephesians,

I hereby start a thread to encourage those who LOVE their PASTOR to post something good that your pastor or someone else in the ministry of your local congregation has done that deserves a GOOD REPORT!

Personally I believe that there are many people on this Forum who do love their pastor, I might be suprised but I doubt it!

I love my pastor and his wife. They are humble, devoted to God, their congregation, and each other. They reach out in love to all. They don't condemn but help find a better way to overcome. I say a prayer of thanks to God every day for them being a part of my life.

I was in a car wreck with my son. The pastor was on the way home from preaching out of town. He was getting back about the time I was arriving at the hospital. He and the whole caravan showed up in the ER. I'll never forget it; we had a van load and several cars of people. We prayed, sang, and laughed. Other visitors brought us prayer requests for their people in the ER. Both my son and myself checked out OK.

I love my Pastor and I thank God for Him.

He is a man of God who is kingdom minded. He's a Pastor who teaches by example, who believes in equpping the saints for ministry. I thank God for a Pastor who recognizes that Church is what happens outside the building and that revival isn't something you declare you're going to have in three weeks when Bro. So and So comes to preach. He is a Pastor that knows that revival is what happens when you stop limiting God to what man can do, when you allow saints to grow up and teach them to take church (God) outside of the four walls. I love his burden for the lost and his desire to see them saved, but yet I've never heard him bash other's beliefs. As he says, " We all have a measure of truth, none of us have ALL truth."

I love my Pastor and appreciate the vision he has. I love that he believes in developing the whole body of Christ, right down to the children.

I love that as he preaches, he will stop and say, " Are you taking notes? Write it down. Go home and check it out. You be sure I'm preaching it true." I mean, how many Pastors do you know that will tell you to not just take his word for it ?

Most of all, I love that he is a man that loves God and seeks to please Him.

I am blessed to have such a man for a Pastor
