2 Peter uses the Greek word Kerux [2783]... translated to preacher ... 3 times in KJV.

a herald or messenger vested with public authority, who conveyed the official messages of kings, magistrates, princes, military commanders, or who gave a public summons or demand, and performed various other duties. In the NT God's ambassador, and the herald or proclaimer of the divine word.

Herald of RIGHTEOUSNESS.

I think it's just another case of us being careful not to translate silent scripture.

I know that Perry Stone says God showed him 5 terrorist acts to happen in the SE of America. He won't name the cities, but he names the area. Does that count?
If someone claims that God told him that '5 terrorist acts to happen in SE America' I would expect addresses and types.

Californication is/was whatever its current state a wicked statement about this State. Sorry friends I know many may be indignant about this but have you forgotten the example of Sodom?

What RAINED DOWN ON SODOM?

WHO SENT IT?
Preach judgement and pray for mercy.

I think that the USA still has room in God's heart for a turnaround and blessing of mercy....

Without the Mercy of God touching anyone of us.

1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th generation we could be lost as well...

Thanks God Mercy met Truth at the cross.

So we are not turned to salt.

Not buying what they are selling. sorry.

Give me names/places/dates or dont claim "God told you"

Im not saying that God does not from time to time bring judgement on people. and from OT you see that those who get that judgement, generally dont believe it was God when it happened.

but for a person to bring forth a "thus sayeth the Lord" they better have every "I" dotted and every "T" crossed. and they better have the GPS coordanance.

Sounds to me like he did some speaking, as the word Preacher conveys that one is publicly proclaiming something. It would be a big stretch to say he only lived the life and never made a public profession of his faith.

No one is not saying he did not profess his faith ... he did so in many ways I'm sure ... but there is no evidence of the slant we've preached that he went around w/ a bullhorn preaching repentance ....
