posting in a foreign language that most of the AFF posters cannot speak or read is very unfair and inconsiderate as they are not included in the conversation... thus single-handedly defeating the primary purpose of "forum discussion"

I agree with that.
If folks want to communicate with one another in a language not understood by many others, it can be done by PM or email outside the forum.

or as Matt suggested, in a "Spanish speaking only" forum sub-category....
the forum shouldn't be speckled with Spanish posts that most cannot understand... it disrupts the flow of thread conversations.... I have to go to Babel fish to figure out if what was posted was a slam or not....
