They aren't going to put in Romney or Jeb. And I certainly wouldn't place bets on Hillary's Donor.

po - 52% satisfied with Clinton, 45% wanted someone else.
45% satisfied with Trump, 52% wanted someone else.
Margin of error is plus/minus 3.1%.
Which means Dems and Reps are basically equally satisfied/dissatisfied with their candidates.

The Democrats will stick with their candidate, but Republicans don't do that. Anyway, I find it hard to believe the poll is accurate with the division and with Trump's unfavorable so high.

But, listen, I am not here to specifically target Trump. I wanted the delegates released with Romney and I am for releasing them now as well. That is the topic of this thread. Did you read the pdf?

On Conscience Rights for Delegates

The latest information at hand is that Donald Trump will be an almost certain loser in the fall. The latest information at hand is that Trump absolutely cannot “pivot” to a more “presidential” mien, any more than a leopard can change its spots or that a wolf can bleat like a sheep. The latest information — information that has come to light since Trump supposedly nailed down the nomination with his win in Indiana — is that Trump doesn’t just tend toward bigotry or seem strangely insensitive toward it, but foments it and bases statements and actions on it. The latest information is that Trump is an embarrassing skinflint when it comes to charity. And the latest information is that Trump still refuses to release his tax returns, thus failing to reassure his supposed party that he will not be subject in the fall campaign to a leak of information so embarrassing as to sink not just his own hopes but the campaigns of Republicans all the way down the ballot.

Delegates taking in all the latest information have every good reason to want to save their party from such a nominee.

po - the GOP is forever changed.
It was not Trump who did it, it was the spineless cowards running the party who did it to themselves.
If they had confronted BHO when they had the will of the voters behind them, then someone from the GOP establishment would have been the nominee.
By folding on almost every issue, they created the environment that led to Trump.

The National Review died with William F. Buckley. It is an establishment mouthpiece now.

And I laugh when your PC tendencies show when you accuse Trump of being a bigot. It is spineless people like you who have your head buried in the sand concerning race and you buy into the "poor minority/evil white people" mantra.

Trump isn't the answer even if the the GOP is broken and changed. He has stated he is running against two parties and identifies and will borrow a lot of Bernie Sanders ideas. "National Healthcare - the Government is going to pay." He can't walk that back.

I never said Trump was a bigot. I did say I believe he is a Jackass - personified.

BTW, "spineless" people are moved by fear and practicing fear mongering. Just sayin'...

Beware the Allure of Trump Trade

We need to change our own policies to favor entrepreneurship and growth before we look overseas to wag our finger at others. But that’s not exciting; that’s not what sells. Anger sells, fear sells (added by me), frustration sells, retribution sells. And Donald Trump is nothing if not a good salesman.

Tell that to the Founders who took up arms against their king.

The "spineless" one's are those bowing to Trump in spite of his being against their values and political beliefs. The "spineless" one's are those who fear a Clinton administration, but are demanding conservatives vote for one of her big donors - a man who was one of her (and Bill's) biggest supporters.
