My mom is retired and had to take a part time job as a teacher's aid to be able to afford the house she's in... It's not the mortgage that's the issue... it's the taxes. They're ridiculous. She's thinking about selling the home I grew up in so she can live a decent living in her retirement.

Sang there once at a Tues. prayer meeting...wow...that was worship!
Grimaldi's is the bomb!!! I love it. Don't expect anything fancy though....it's an old little crowded Italian joint under the Brooklyn Bridge, but the pizza is unbelievable. Piles of real mozarella mounds, not sprinkled and melted like most places. There are no salads or other options, just that wonderful pizza!
Be prepared to wait though, unless you go at an off-time.
I love to visit Manhattan. I just got one of those fare watcher emails, I can go round trip for $106 I think- My mom is dying to go...I just might do that next weekend
