Theresa, look closely please.

His comment was regarding the anti-Obama conservatives on this forum, and their supposed approval of racist sentiments toward Obama.

We're talking about AFF here, not Louisiana.

What is your idea of credible?
No, you prove to me that the GOP DIDN"T steal the 2000 and the 2004 elections. You see that gets us right back to the election process in this country being unconstitutional. It's like saying 2+2=4 and having somebody say prove it. Sorry, can't help you.

I thought he said, "I've talked to people"... not sure how that became people specifically on this forum.

Thank you, TRfrance! We have discussed issues, issues, issues and I have never seen one single post reflecting the mindset of a race issue!

It is not about race here on AFF!!

Look at the last four sentences of his post:
Quote:

I've never seen such hatemongering and fearmongering on this "Election Section" board.

Of course, it's mostly just a few right wingers posting to each other so it really doesn't matter in the big scheme of things.

But I've talked to people who say they're voting for McCain because "we can't have a nigger in the White House."

But hey ... THAT'S okay to these right wing zealots - just vote for the right guy for the wrong reason.
Yes he did say he "talked to people". We all see that.

But I think he makes it clear in the post, and in those last four sentences in particular , that he is referring to the sentiments supposedly approved of by the "right wingers" on this forum.

Whether by effect, or by intent, I think the natural implication being made toward the "right wingers" on this board is fairly obvious. (But if he thinks his meaning was misunderstood, he's certainly welcome to speak up, and make his meaning more clear.)

Re: My Election Prediction.

I will admit, I am fine with people voting for the right guy for the wrong reasons... there are just as many people voting for the wrong guy for the wrong reasons, maybe it will equalize out...

I think both scenarios are unfortunate, but protected.

I am glad they are protected, though I am not sure that there is such an "over abundance" of folks just voting for Sen. Obama just because he's Black.

I PROMISE YOU that if Sen. Obama was running on a Republican Platform, he would not have made it this far.

I ALSO PROMISE YOU that the turnout of the "ghetto dwellers" and other folks that some say should not even be allowed to vote, would not be in favor of Sen. Obama if he was running as a Republican.

Truth be told, Blacks in America have solidly voted Democrat for the last 30 years or so. As a population, we have been in the Democrat's back pocket for a long time-- addressing us directly ONLY in time of elections, usually.

I think there is a tinge of a racial undertone on this board, at times, when it comes to this election. But it is there by necessity.

After all, Sen. Obama is potentially, the first Black President of the USA.

This causes the discussions to make uncomfortable turns at times.

In most cases, dialogue is good. It helps to air out frustrations, hopes and fears online, in a some what annonymous manner.

It allows people to be a bit more honest.

If I had to choose, I'd rather he be socialist than to eat babies.

Re: My Election Prediction.

In regards to racist feelings on the forum... numerous times interracial marriage has been discussed and the overwhelming majority of people think it's okay. I don't think there's too many racists on here.
