Re: Hike away from Ike?

My step sister works at Houston's airport - they are closing at 1:00 and flying all their planes to El Paso. Sounds like they are preparing for the worse!

Esther - don't forget your phone charger!

Re: Hike away from Ike?

I just heard on the news that even though Ike may be a cat 2 or cat 3, the storm surge was equivalent to a cat 4.

It is a massive storm.

Be safe, Esther. The wind here is starting to pick up, but we are staying.

Is there any chance of flooding in your area?

They are saying it's worse than Katrina. I wish you would leave.

We're getting ready to take another drive out and look at things.

He just got off the phone with our son in California and told him if we left he would call. I hadn't heard him say that thus far. lol

Remember, we are on the left side and won't get the force that Esther will get. Still watching.

We are inside the bay and not directly on the coastline.

The skies were clear as a bell last night and now it's total dark cloud cover and wind progressing.
