Sadly, we get into legislating morality which only grows the government.
True free-enterprise capitalism imposes strict accountability and strong internal discipline on a business. As the government has grown, a mutated variation of capitalism has grown. It is an elevated self-serving interest that no longer cares about genuine value nor earning the affection, trust and loyalty of its stakeholders.
Crony-capitalism is unethical and poses a real threat to our freedom and our well-being. More laws to govern isn't the answer. Dishonesty and greed is a moral issue which can't be solved without the moral giver - Jesus Christ.
Let's say that we're dealing with banks that are collaborating to take advantage of consumers through predatory lending and excessive fees... you suggest no laws or government intervention? What, do we wright them a flowery post card asking that they politely refrain from ripping us off?

Or what if people are collaborating to rip off the banks?
