This wit seems really concerned with the Def getting a copy of his personal notes for his testimony.

Now he said, "Is something funny there?" And the Judge told him there's no question, he needs to be quiet and wait.

I wonder what's in his notes. He does not look comfortable right now at all. He protested a lot when the Judge ordered him to give them.

West asked for a copy of them. Wit interrupted and said, "No, you cannot." The wit is laughing.

Wow....

Yes! Judge ordered that the wit's notes will be copied for the Def to look them over; Pros will get a copy as well. After his testimony, both copies will be destroyed.

Recessed for lunch.

Man, wish I were a fly on the wall near the Def team during this lunch recess. I really want to know why he was so upset with them seeing his notes. Of course, I could be completely off; there may be absolutely nothing wrong with his notes and he's just OCD. He just looked very uncomfortable. Pulled out a hanky and was wiping his mouth and shifting all around; making comments out of line toward the Def.

Again, I could be way off, but his actions are a bit weird for them being just personal notes.

The wit's comment, "Is something funny" was because O'mara had a smirk on his face while West was looking over the notes.

IMO, the Judge allowed Rachel Jeantel way too much leeway in her testimony. She should have been admonished for her "that's just retarded," answer to West, along with other statements. Likewise, this wit has spoken out of turn numerous times; and the Judge should have sternly admonished him for that last outburst ("Is there something funny?") instead of just saying that there was no question, please wait for a question before answering.

She needs to do a better job of controlling the witness.
