Your point has been that they cannot be in the five-fold ministry, is that correct?
Ok, so they cannot be apostles, evangelists, prophets, pastors or teachers. Let's go with that.
That DOES NOT mean they can't evangelize, prophesy, preach or teach! You have no scripture to support that in any way, yet we know there are scriptures that exist that say women can prophesy. We have examples of women evangelizing and teaching (Priscilla) and women preaching (they weren't thrown in prison for burning the turkey).
I gave the definition of 'preach' above. Nowhere in that definition was a pulpit, platform, church building, or even a congregation mentioned. It matters not whether one has an audience of 1 or 1000, if they are in a home setting or the local stadium, if they are standing behind a pulpit or sitting at the kitchen table, preaching is preaching.

It was post 171... in response to the following post by Sam...
It was then followed up by another photo of two "brides" being married by a "priest" with a rainbow scarf. So I guess this is one of those sneaky ones where the preachers can all act like they didn't say anything wrong and that they are shocked and horrified that their implied comments were misinterpreted.
No, I just posted the two women and the priest wearing the rainbow scarf due to your comment of the two men walking hand in hand looking normal because you saw men in India walking hand in hand and you stated that was a normal thing. Therefore I modified it. Is your memory working a little better now?

When his post is read in context with Sam's, it's impossible to get out of it what's being suggested. Talk about reading between the lines.

Okay, there you have it; HO agrees that a woman cannot be elders. And who are elders? apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. Seems to sum it up pretty good. Thanks HO for your agreeable 'amen'!
WRONG!
For one, you took my quote out of context. For another, I already said that just because one is an elder doesn't make him a preacher, prophet, apostle, or anything else other than an elder. And just because one is a preacher, prophet, or apostle doesn't make him an elder.
Timothy wasn't considered an elder because he was a preacher. Cornelius was an elder, but not a preacher in any sense of the word.
I have heard 13 yr old preachers. They were not elders just because they were preachers.
Edited to say, I should use smileys, but I'm too tired.

Some things just don't change my friend, why should I expect different.
Sheltidad change the avatar and quote, you know how the quote ends.

1Ti 5:17-22
"Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality. Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure."
In the above verses Timothy is being told how to deal with the elders he will ordain. Now, if he is the one doing the ordinations wouldn't he be an elder?
Also do you know where the word elder comes from?
