My fear is that those who already think LS sits on the right hand of the Father will elevate Him beyond what is due. I will leave this alone because there is much more I would like to say about this...
I will just say that we need to stop making rock stars out of men and look to Jesus...man is the messenger, but the Lord is the baptizer.

The Lord can use anyone to be His messenger... think Baalam and the donkey....

No offense guys but aren't you being a little harsh about this? I mean, haven't we all been guilty of a similar error, if indeed any error was committed? A cardiac event is a terrifying and often very painful experience, and not only for the patient but also the family and friends. now if he told a bald-faced lie that would be one thing, but believing you heard from God when maybe you did not is something we have all been guilty of at one time or another I do imagine.

Re: Lee Stoneking Addresses UN
I don't care what problems Stoneking had and what he erred in in the past. This speech was great and nothing was wrong with it. I disagree with the man so severely on many issues, but what he said in the video was wonderful.

Lemme know when you catch me making up hair doctrines out of thin air or telling lies about imaginary victories over other religions or making up fantastic stories about tunneling to hell so I can take a minute to reflect as to whether I care or not about you or your smh.
Since you all teach that liars go to hell you folks probably should take up a collection, buy a ticket and a couple of shovels, and send this one into a mine shaft with orders to start digging instead of fawning over his words like a group of drugged moonies.

Re: Lee Stoneking Addresses UN
The Lord called upon Paul to, more than once, testify and exalt the name of Jesus before rulers of various ranks, all the way up to Caesar.
Remember the Proverb?
Quote:
Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings...
|
I think we can all agree that LS has been a diligent man in his service to God. Many untold numbers of people have been blessed, healed, and saved and gone on to glory because LS has remained diligent all these decades.
Whatever gripes anyone has with him or some things he has preached can best be summed up in a few simple words: let it go already.

Highlighting one's personal imaginary victories and making up personal doctrines is not service to God, it is service to self. Standing in place of God by declaring one's personal doctrine as the way to salvation is the first, worst, and original sin.
Attributing one man's salvation to another man's diligence is a blasphemy. It is advised not to do or say that.

- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.

Re: Lee Stoneking Addresses UN
The story of his miracle was good however many points could be debatable. The issue I have with this is that he never addressed the point of fostering peace or tackling the problem of the extremists and insane amounts of violence in our societies and all across the world, or any of the other things that were supposed to be addressed.
He was not there to give his testimony.
It was a meeting of religious leaders of many different walks of life to attempt to bring about change.
