Re: Does being Apostolic make you better?
If I think I am better than anyone --because I'm Apostolic or for any other reason, I put myself in the same place this Pharisee did years ago:
9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Luke 18:9-14
Here is how The Message puts it
9-12 He told his next story to some who were complacently pleased with themselves over their moral performance and looked down their noses at the common people: "Two men went up to the Temple to pray, one a Pharisee, the other a tax man. The Pharisee posed and prayed like this: 'Oh, God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, crooks, adulterers, or, heaven forbid, like this tax man. I fast twice a week and tithe on all my income.'
13 "Meanwhile the tax man, slumped in the shadows, his face in his hands, not daring to look up, said, 'God, give mercy. Forgive me, a sinner.'"
14 Jesus commented, "This tax man, not the other, went home made right with God. If you walk around with your nose in the air, you're going to end up flat on your face, but if you're content to be simply yourself, you will become more than yourself."

Are you one of those Apostolics who believe in the extra-Biblical words of Paul too?

Great post, Sam. How can anyone say they're better, understand God better....how can anyone see anything in themselves that's superior to anyone in anything? Again, great post.

Baron, you are not only incredibly correct, but you state your case incredibly well. Keep it up!

No "believe only" Churches do this. Its only done by those who understand its part of salvation. Would your Church practice this?

My church? I don't have a church. But the church I attend baptizes believers, just like the Apostles did.

Re: Does being Apostolic make you better?
Lets ask this. Is a Christian (defined as a one step believer) superior to a sinner?
