What did she do to deserve being told to "Go home and raise your kids"?
What did she do to deverve having her children raked over the coals?
Maybe the better question is, "What didn't she do" in regards to telling her to go raise her kids.
The courts, the custody disputes, that Levi guy going to the media-- all of that could have been avoided if she had kept the main thing the main thing-- especailly when it became apparent that she was not going to hold a national office.
Why is this guy, who has been accused of being so liberal, attempting to engage some of you folks in an ethical discussion about family values and motherhood and all that junk that the so-called Conservatives made their bread and butter on, politically speaking?
The choice of Sarah in the first place was akin to giving Swaggart a naltional leadership position within the head the A of G-- sure you could do it, but why would you?
Miss Sarah gets no pity.
None.
She is NOT a victim.
And yes I know Swaggart is no longer A og G, but you get my point.

My consternation with Sarah is not about her kids.
It's about her being a cry baby-- playing the victim card.
Any attempt to steer this thread away from that just proves my point that there is no reason for her to be called, "victim."
As for my comment about her going and raising her children is because of the hot mess that is happening with her daughter, who lives with her still and that guy who sired Sarah's grand child.
It's very messy, politically and otherwise.
Most, if not all of her attention should be going in that direction-- or is this stuff not important enough for her?
And she is supposed to be a Spirit filled Pentecostal too?
Where is the conviction that tells her to get things right with her family, first and foremost?

The GOP's selection and/or exuberence of Sarah for NATIONAL ATTENTION was ignorant and hypocritical.
It even smacked of sexism-- after all, with Hillary out of the race, they "needed" to find a woman who would fit the bill.
Just like the selection of Steele for Chairman had racial overtones.
The man lost his last election bid and can not be elected for anything in his own backyard!
He was selected, elected, in large part because of the idea that since he is Black, he is the "perfect the foil" for the President.
Truth be told, the Steele decision has already proven to be one of embarassment-- embarassment by his own undoing.
Same with Sarah.
Maybe, just maybe, the BOTH of them are victims of the GOP's archaic thinking when it comes to matters of sex and race.

By the way, I dont take any issue with the points you have made about Palin relating to her policy failures, her interview failures etc.
In fact on the issues, i am not comfortable with her at all as a possible presidential candidate.
She certainly has to prove she can stand up to questioning on the issues. She has yet to prove she understands the issues, etc.
however, the attacks she has suffered in many instances have been very unfair. Those who are supposed to be champions of womens rights have trampled on hers.
She has been forced to live up to a standard that on person could. She has been sexualized (latest newsweek cover) in an attemped to marginalize her.
If we are going to have a debate on the substance of Sarah Palin, I certainly fall on the side that says she might be right on the issues, but she has NOT proven she can stand up to the job.
But if we are going to talk about the junk, the ad hominem attacks, she has certainly been a victim. The vitriol has been and is at a level that sickens me.

Actually I have defended my statement.
There was no sexism.
The only hypocrisy is what I pointed out in the GOP's (McCain's) selection of Sarah in the in the first place.
I have made it very clear that she has private issues involving her immediate family that are now very public.
God is not the author of confusion.
For all the attempts to link her Christianity into why I should have just supported her, I say hogwash.
It is my opinion that she is neglecting the more pressing and necessary issues in her life.
There is nothing more I can say.
If you don't get it, you just won't get it.
She and her supporters need to stop playing the victim card, just like convicted drug dealers who are Black shouldn't play the race card.
Both have developed reputations, with their own words and actions, to make anything they say suspect.
Both need to take repsonsibility for how others view them and learn to make better decisions.
Both gets no pity from me.
Absolutely none.
Especially Palin, with all her education and that she has accomplished and with the idea that she has a very strong Christian background, she is an embarassment-- a perfect example on the national stage as to WHY Paul taught against novices being in leadership.
