Exactly just because there is a pulpit in the church does not mean the church is worshipping that plastic, wood or glass stand.
Just like in Christmas.
Just because we have a tree for Christmas does not mean we all take a pine cone and wear it around our head for 3 days and ask for goodluck.
For goodness sakes let's take the tree literally it is nothing more than a tree..

Well sorry. The thread already had 400 post before I joined in.
I LIKE CHRISTMAS! WHY??? because I like getting gifts and money.
If I didn't get gifts and money, I wouldn't care if we totally abolished it

I could give a rip who associates what with what.
It is what it symbolizes to me.
Not some pagan that lived 5500 years ago...

Everyone in my house from ministers to all have all bowed before the foot of a tree. Called the old rugged cross.
The problem is more Apostolics preaching against one tree and not preaching the meaning of another.

No man is holier than any other. We have no holiness of our own...it's Christ's rightesousness that we wear. If you're walking in your own righteousness...that's called...self righteousness.

Re: We're Not Putting X-Mas Trees Up!
Brother Beninca, even “dressing up” for church is a pagan practice. Originally Christians were very plain and common people who met in homes and worshipped informally. This was Christian custom for nearly 250 or so years. When the Roman state mandated that all worship was to take place in a building, Christians were forced by law to “dress up”. Reason being, the state sponsored religion of Rome made all Christian clerics officials of the state religion, as the pagan priests and public officials were. It was a dishonor to the office to approach any official in common clothing, therefore any Christian not “dressed up” to meet the official clergy man in the pulpit was escorted out of the congregation, even by force if the cleric requested such…and many did.
Do you, dress up for church like the pagans did?
