Chewy--sorry...not nearly as juicy as divorce, etc. I had an issue with a presbyter, and let my license drop in 2002. I should have followed his direction, and my world would not have been nearly so horrific over the last 5 years. He was only attempting to help me. I should have listened. He had only been in the section for almost 30 years when he left.

BP rejoins UPC
What district?
Did the Board require any EXTRAS for a returning candidate?

What was your situation with the ALJC upon leaving. Good, bad, indifferent?
If you can (I don't want you to share anything you don't want to or feel is to personal) post what led you to the ALJC and then to leave them and go back to the UPC.

CC1, you are a pill...one that can sometimes be a little hard to swallow. I do think your question is fair.
I did not get "dissatisfied" with the UPC. I felt I could not comply with the requirements of a presbyter. I left. I joined the ALJC because I needed fellowship and accountability. I realized that I would never quite feel at home--so I left and began to go through the process to be reinstated. So, in reality, my situation was that I was not satisfied with anything BUT the UPC. As concerning my leaving the ALJC, I have nothing bad to say about them. They helped me through a difficult time. I am grateful for their friendship and support. The brethren of the West Texas New Mexico District of the ALJC are my friends, and shall continue to be. They are not "subclass" saints in my mind. I just was not at home. I could spill alot of mush here, but just consider that the UPC is my roots and I would not be happy elsewhere, nor would my wife.

In other words, you can take the man out of the UPC, but you couldn't take the UPC out of the man. I hope it works out for you, Bro.

Texico. No extras required. I am sure that there will be a little closer watch for a while...but that is to be expected...and I surely have no problem with it.

Thanks, Rico. The first day I came home from the hospital I was in a UPC church. I went to UPC youth camps. I went to a UPC Bible College. All my friends are my UPC. My brothers are UPC preachers. All those that have mentored me (until 2002) are UPC. All the Apostolic singers I follow are UPC--save one group. I think you get the point. My home is in the UPC.

I think he pretty much stayed against tv, unless my memory is playing tricks on me, which might be the case, but you never know.
