Can someone elaborate as to why we should care whether or not Vaughn is really a doctor or not?
From everything I viewed clear back to Dan Alice, then coming back as Deep Threat later has an issues with the doc V not really being a doc, seemly won't drop the issues . I could careless myself, but some feel the need to carry this on and on. If V a fake so what, life goes on, I'm not one of doc fans, let God deal with him!
I'll admit I've lost alot respect that I had for Dan Alice/ Deep Threat, what he was doing went way beyond normal, it became badgering and even made Dan look as if he had control issues. As for the V I'll give him this, he kept his cool during all this madness. Hope that helps
I was thinking the same thing. I don't think I'm on enough to know all of the ins and outs of forum land.
Knowing forum land is one thing. I've been on plenty enough forums long enought to know the ins and outs of forums. However, I have chosen in the last year or so not to spend so much of my time on them...and have no desire to do the research to figure out what the deal is with the whole entire 'Vaughn's not really a doctor' thing.

That was Throat and Alicia... and...no offense...but I would prefer to get the answer from someone who was actually a bit closer to the situation than someone who is newer to the forum or has created a new name on the forum who may have been closer to it.

Throat and Threat were the same person ( Dan Alicia) he change it. I was surprised he used Throat considering that was the titled name of a very nasty xxx movie! So maybe he was asked to change it, not sure.

Deep Throat was the name of an operative who helped expose the Watergate coverup back in the Nixon days.
I think that's what Dan was alluding to, not the xx movie.

So, he used Throat and Threat. How silly. I saw the Throat name. Deep Throat was the name of the guy who helped get info to the feds in Watergate. That's where I assumed the name was from...not from a porn movie.

The young man joined the forum and referred to himself as Doctor. The question was asked as to what kind of doctor, and he listed his supposed degrees. ANother poster, who attended the same university the good "doctor" claimed to have graduated from brought it to the forum's attention that there was no record of this gentleman graduating from the university in question.
Now, we're waiting for the good doctor to respond to this situation.

I never have jumped in on this topic before because I knew that I was not around to watch it all unfold. However, in reading on some of the various threads I too was a little confused as to why there was such a response from some of the posters. Later, though somebody quoted some of V's posts where he was specifically claiming insight due to his degrees. In light of things like that I can see some of the ones who were in those kinds of conversations looking for validation since they did take him at his word at one point.

Thanks for answering my question because it has puzzled me for a while as to the reason for it as I have seen it brought up on several threads...and the reason I looked at this one...my curiosity... which means it interests me plenty enough. I just didn't understand the importance from the perspective of those pressing it.

If a Pastor comes on a site and claims to have a particular PhD degree, and then there turns out to be good reason to believe he may have repeatedly lied, obviously that's going to get a lot of interest and attention on a Christian forum.
Obviously no-one is supposed to lie on a Christian forum, but if it turns out a Pastor is doing it, and repeatedly so, then that would be even more deplorable.

I completely agree. Of course it would not be the first time a pastor (or someone pretending to be one) signed online and repeatedly lied on a forum. I've seen it before! I am sure many of us have!
Anyway, I didn't know he claimed to be a pastor. If we are not sure he is a doctor, how can we be sure he is a pastor as well?? Maybe he's not even a "he"? Maybe he's a woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a pastor pretending to be a doctor??
