Re: We're Not Putting X-Mas Trees Up!
Rather, the pagan festival of the “Birth of the Unconquered Son” instituted by the Roman Emperor Aurelian on 25 December 274, was almost certainly an attempt to create a pagan alternative to a date that was already of some significance to Roman Christians. Thus the “pagan origins of Christmas” is a myth without historical substance.
The article gives no primary source for this above conjecture. Why?
The above is to lead us to believe something that the writer never presents proof for, so why make the statement?

Me not partaking of Christmas in not Paranoia. More like conviction. I don't think any of you are going to hell over it, except maybe Renda... for placing her tree in FRONT of the cross.

No, I'm not Catholic. However, the significance of the December 25th date for the birth of Christ doesn't come from pagan practice, it comes from a combination of 2nd century Christian tradition and an ancient Jewish belief. The pagans attempted to hijack the date.

Look up the details behind the dispute of the date of Christ's death and the ancient Jewish belief in "integral age."
Yes, since you're condemning your brethren, the least you could do is a little homework.
