Since the population of the US is about 318 million people, a thousand deaths at the hands of police works out to 1 in 318,000. You have a better chance of being killed in a violent storm (1 in 68,000) or slipping in the tub (1 in 11,500) than being shot by a cop, no matter what color you are.

I dont agree with the narrative that says they are killing more blacks than whites. I am saying in the real world they are treating us all wrong.

It doesn't SEEM that you HAD any genuine sympathy for the victims in Baton rouge and Minnesota if you can easily dismiss their plight in wake of the other event in Dallas for which they had absolutely no control over.

C'mon, that is not true. Aren't there black people in the police force?

BLM is rallying against the systemic callous attitude the police institution as a whole has towards minorities. Even minority cops in the NYPD complained about the way policing is done in minority neighborhoods. I'll try to find the link.

Not ALL cops are racist! However, if not for video recordings by witnesses, most of the racist cops will get away with murder and the police "investigation" will never find them guilty. That's the point BLM is making.

Look at the case in Minnesota - If there was no recording, what we would have heard was "Armed black guy shot by cop"...there won't be any mention of him informing the cop that he had a weapon on him before trying to get his ID.

[On a side note, why would you inform a cop "I have a weapon on me" if you plan on using it to shoot the cop?" On the other hand, if you don't inform the cop about your weapon and it happens to surface while trying to pull out your ID, you might get shot too...]

Anyways, BLM is about how the institutional disregard for minority lives, not that all cops are racist. Basically, police should be transparent and weed out the bad cops, or at least TRY!

Another cop shot during traffic stop in St Louis this morning. Another cop was shot in GA this morning as well.

No details as whether this is connected to anti-police threats and the shootings in Dallas.

Here is another article where they paid out $280k to a cop who exposed the quota system in a federal lawsuit in 2012.
