I didnt come on here to drag people in my ordeal. This is a forum and I thought it was a good place to just get stuff off my chest. I thought it would be best to write on a forum where it couldn’t and won’t have an impact on my church.
I didnt expect to come on here and get some AMAZING revelation as to why things are the way they are nor did I hope any of you would give me a solution or quick fix. I really am not here to whine or get pity from you and Im sure you are aware of that, again just needed to get it off my chest.
I appreciate all the responses this thread has received and if anything it had done me good to just talk about it, even if not understood by some of you.
I am glad for you and I mean that honestly.
i think those of us who have taken you to task understand more than we care to share. I know at least parts of some of these peoples stories. It would amaze you. believe me many who have been kind of hard on you have walked exactly where you are....
my prayer for you and your family is that you come thru it unscathed and still in love with Jesus.

Cut it short or trim the ends? LOL! I would never cut my hair short and remain in a church that taught against it. Why would I do that? It would bring on so much confusion and hurt.
We went through a church split years ago and had to take a stand against the pastor, who was in sin. 70/30 slit. We were in the 30.
My best friend's husband said this about me, "I am very disappointed in her. I thought she was more spiritual than that." She took her husband's side.
It cut me to the quick! I couldn't eat lunch after the Sunday morning service, I was sick at my stomach. I went into the bedroom to pray and God gave me a song. I said, "God, I don't know all of the words. Would you please show me the whole song?"
That Thursday morning, at Ladies prayer meeting, our speaker said, "God gave me this song on the way here today and I want to sing it to you." It was the song God had given me that past Sunday morning. I can't remember it today, but all it does is show that when we are walking right, God will never leave us.
Don't know why I wanted to tell that.

I'll add the steps - - you didn't go back to church, but you saw Sis. Sour at the grocery store - no Hobby Lobby after you cut your hair and she said all that to you.
Leaving because of something your pastor did is different than leaving because you changed on standards and are told you are a backslider. Hurt is hurt, but did anyone tell you that you are lost because you left when the pastor sinned?

My point is that if these people believe this is truth to them, how can that be passing judgment? How can they NOT think he is wrong and not share that with him? He's family, as has been stated? Right? Families can get really angry over stuff. lol
They aren't allowed to say that they think he is wrong? Why not?
He told them they are wrong by leaving. He doesn't have to say it.
I'm not saying he is wrong for leaving. He should leave, but I think it's ridiculous to think someone isn't going to get upset over it, especially, since he was a leader and had been with them for any length of time.
I think people should be understanding and compassionate, but when someone feels strongly that you are wrong, they are just going to voice that and they are going to be upset. It's a no-brainer.
Being upset is one thing - I can understand that. I knew my Mother was going to be upset. But, not one time did she tell me I was lost.

it seems the best thing I can do is turn the other cheek and let the words roll off my back. Those who truely desire to keep our friendship will be just that or at least come around in the end.

And that is perfectly fine - - there have been many that have gone though that very thing and just to realize that your feelings are normal is a good thing.
No one can answer why it happens, well, we can, but it doesn't change the fact that it does.
Next time I'll block PO/Ferd from your thread - lololol!
