BTW if my child calls me a name and there's no just recompence of reward, then it's my fault if he contnues to call me names. one good penetrating wooping would fix it for my kids.
One time when my son was around 6-7 he kicked at me. I guarantee you after I was done he would never do it again.

So you are going to tell me that a 2 yr old who had never been told these words were wrong because I never thought in a million years that he would hear them from me and he never heard a single word that was bad from me... would call me these horrid names... yet I went into the hospital and came home and find out by his father admitting that he told him to call me those names.. that its now my fault???? BTW he neverrrrrrrrr called me another name after that day! He learnt better real fast!

You know what... nevermind! I will not justify anything I have or have not done for my kids to any of you! I have raised what is now 4 Godly holy ghost filled children who love God and their mother... So no matter what I did or didnt do what was wrong or wasnt wrong yall have no idea the lives they had.. the problems they had or the pain they went thru as young children... the abuse they incurred and frankly... dont care what yall think! God sparred them and me from the hell we were in and I thank HIM for that! See ya!

Truthseeker, not every child is the same. Some are very stubborn. You shouldn't break their spirit. A strong will is a good thing. You just want to guide it in a positive direction.
My son has hit me before...more of a "Lets see what happens if I hit Mommy" sort of thing, rather than an "inflict pain" experiment. When I pretended to be much more injured than I actually was, tears ran down his face and he said he was sorry. And he didn't try it again. There would have been no need for me to spank him for that!
Some children endure hardships and life circumstances that lead to misbehavior, and require a very UNDERSTANDING parent, not one who is quick to punish. You may curb the behavior, but you risk further injuring the child's psyche.

I highly recommend reading up on Natural Consequences. I read a book about this once, and it really helped me improve my parenting skills. Unfortunately I can't remember the title of the book...LOL...but, there are a lot of good articles online.

This is a shortsighted statement.

lol....
Let me just clarify...
This child in question...
Was beaten from birth by his father (no I did not know this till years later for whoever wants to blame me for that too)
He was abused severely by a babysitter
He watched his grandmother die
He was locked in a basement for 4 days by a babysitter and beaten across the face with a beltbuckle until he had no skin left on his nose and one cheekbone was exposed...
All this by the age of 2
If a curse word was the worst I got out of him then I think I did pretty good...
