Con: no tv, no movies, uncut hair for ladies, dresses only for women, no need for hose, open toed shoes are ok and any color, sleeves need to be at or below the elbow, no jewelry except watches, wedding rings and an occasion pin/broach on a woman's dress, no make-up for women, no sporting events, Christian music and worldly music as long as it is not rock or country.
Mods: tv is ok, G, PG and occasionally PG-13 rated movies are ok, long hair but trimming it is ok as are bangs, shorts on men are ok as long as they are long, women are ok in culottes when working at the church and occasionally wear slacks as long as they are not going to be inside the church or with church people whom they might offend, jewelry is ok except for earrings, light make-up is acceptable, sporting events are fine, any music
Libs: tv is fine, movies are fine altho you still need to guard your heart and mind against filth, cutting hair is ok, shorts are fine on men and on women, slacks for women are fine, jewelry is not a problem, make-up is acceptable, sporting events are fine and any music is ok.
Ok, is that a little better? Feel free to edit if you see things you'd like to change.
Based on this, I would easily know how I'd vote. In fact, my vote is going to be based entirely upon this.

I STILL can't vote. But it is an improvement. ~L~

What label do I identify with?
C H R I S T I A N
Jesus knows who truly is and who truly ain't.....all those other labels mean nothing to me.
Easy to fool others and even ourselves about how we live for God......but....the day soon approaches.....ya better be right or ya gonna get left!

ultracon - no tv, no movies, no worldly music (some internet).
Women's issues: Magic hair, no makeup, wedding bands & watches only, long skirts.
con - educational and PG movies. Oldies & love songs.
Women's issues: Trim hair, blush only, sentimental value jewlery, kulaks(sp?).
mod - historical & artistic value movies. Any music with artistic merit.
Women's issues: Styled hair, blush, lipgloss, clear nail polish; bracelets, pants in extremely cold weather.
lib - Any movie of social relevance (unless a favorite actor is starring, ie: Antonio Banderas in 'Desperado'). Any music that is not explicit (unless it is socially relevant, ie: Tupac Shakur hip hopping about shooting racists cops).
Women's issues: Shoulder length hair, any type of makeup or jewlery that is not gawky, occasional pants, an occasional glass of wine (optional).
Don't even libs have standards? Please clarify any misunderstanding on my part about definitions.

The definitions are a little wrong.
I consider myself a moderate.
I'm staunchly pro local churches being autonomous and able to conduct their business without HQ or District interference. This includes the use of television for evangelism - through both ads and programs.
While I have serious reservations about it, I believe the UPC is one of the best Oneness organizations around. This is not at all an endorsement, nor is it a rebuke. I haven't been to a PAW conference, nor to an ALJC conference . . . so I don't know how big those are. I was not impressed with the AWCF conference held in the Motel 6 conference room. Sorry, JMO.
I'm moderate in dress standards.
I don't believe women trimming their hair is bad, though hair should be long and not cut short like a man.
I personally don't like a lot of make-up on ladies, though I'm not going to condemn someone to hell over it.
I like platform standards. If employers can set them, why can't we? It just looks better.
I wear shorts often, believe in rings, watches, cuff links, etc.
I'm not against jewelry . . . though it should be in classy moderation.
I'm completely against the dumb, stupid, insane, damnable, twisted, unBiblical "Magic Hair" doctrine.
I guess I'm a 3-stepper. I believe you must repent, be baptized in Jesus name and receive the Holy Ghost in order to receive salvation in the end.
I'm Oneness.
I love my UC and UL friends, though we don't always agree.
I like all kinds of music, both religious and secular. Though I don't listen to music with explicit lyrics.
I have a television, though I don't have cable or an antennae at the moment . . . I do plan on getting cable soon. (College & NFL Football begins soon!)
I watch movies at home and at the theater.
I've attended NCAA football and MLB baseball games.
There you have it . . . moderate, though some would think liberal.

I'm sorry but I still couldn't vote under these definitions...although I confess froman Apostolic point of view I am lib...
The issue of this whole thread is rediculous because I do not think you can cookie cutter any of the categories to this extent...I know trinitarian charismatics that would be libs because they do not adhere to the dress, adornment, and make-up rules...but they DO NOT go to movies, own a DVD player, nor do they have a TV.....so where would they fit in the definitions?...con/lib....absurd...

Don't anyone believe him! CR is a anything-goes-liberal! Don't let him let you believe otherwise.
