I take it you believe the UPC represents a majority of the church.
While I don't share that view, I do agree to the point of the church effecting how God deals with a nation - or perhaps mankind in general. I am not so sure that the UPC voting in/out or against anything will incite any immediate wrath or delight of God.

I suspect that God is not so concerned with out little pettiness, as he is of the spirits involved. The pettiness is only symptomatic...just one of many symptoms.
btw, I don't remember mentioning the word "immediate." I did mention the word "near" but that in relation to the "change" that I spoke of from I Cor. 15.

I know that the majority of America of the most part is still a Christian Nation... Do you think we judge her by Hollywood and what is seen on TV?

Can I suggest that you look beyond some of the places you may be focused on and you just might find reason to rejoice. God is moving powerfully all over the world, but it may not be in the traditional places most OP's are looking. The promise of God is that there will be a latter rain that will prepare the harvest for a final reaping.
