And how. Let the fun begin . . . because you bought a Dodge!
(So long as fun is quantified in hours and dollars spent at Dodge dealership service centers.)
Adventure sounds much more romantic at the beginning, doesn't it?
Since you bought a Dodge, and you like internet forums, and you're going to need help with your Dodge, I recommend you check out the TurboDieselRegister.
You can learn about and correct the weaknesses of your Dodge. It's much better to do it on your schedule instead of on the side of the highway.
If you want to hop it up, your engine can make more power, and more easily, than Ford or Chevy. It's a very stout engine. It's a beautiful engine. It's a wonderful engine. Too bad you don't get to ride around on the engine. You have to ride around in the truck. Too bad . . . Because you bought a Dodge!
But seriously, the transmissions are notoriously weak. You should look into this before you set out for a long trip.
Note: The above satire is in no way reflective of the actual performance of Dodge trucks or the author's opinions of motor vehicles. These opinions are not necessarily those of the Apostolic Friends Forum owners, management, staff, or internet server. Apostolic Friends Forum claims no responsibility for the opinions contained in this post, nor for the performance, service, reliability, appearance, or longevity of Randy's Dodge truck, since he should have bought a Ford.

My thoughts exactly!
Congratulations RevRandy!! Nice looking rig and despite the naysayers I do like the truck. The only complaints I have heard about Doge pickups are the transmission on older ones and I think they have that straigthened out and then small trim items that aren't a big deal.
Like Trouvere I think one would have to be blind not to see a definite preperation for the evangelistic field. You mentioned Stockton. Are you a Home Missions pastor there? If so, just out of curioiusity, why a town with one of the largest Oneness churches in the Nation?
I have a UPC pastor friend whose house is up for sale and as soon as it does he has a 5th wheel picked out he is buying to head back on the evangelistic path. He has already resigned his church but is staying on awhile.

I have never been called to the Evangelistic Field.... I do believe Evangelism is a calling... and I can't explain to you why God has called us here but He has... I have argued with Him about it... but have resigned to the fact that this is where He wants us to be..
Believe me.. We have tried to leave more than a few times only to have the doors close... and yet we call Stockton home...
Although we have many friends at CLC we have very little to do with CLC other than Little League Baseball and some childrens functions...
Stockton proper is about 350,000+ right now and growing..so there is plenty of room to grow...
I don't understand God but I have learned thru these past few years to lean on Him and trust Him even when I haven't accepted (which now I have) or have been able to see His plan.... but trust me the chain of events that He creates are most undeniable. And His hand is working in our lives even to the most minute things...the Potters Wheel is definately at work...

we are working on it... whether in the district or out of the district... we are working on it... It just took some time for us to accept what God wanted us to do..
I know that in a perfect world everything is lalala... but since I am imperfect and stubborn (at times ) I have accepted what I feel he wants us to do...

PS I don't think that Stockton is the "largest" oneness church anymore.. I do think it's one of the largest.. but many others are growing..

Well, glad you got it all settled. Hope you enjoy it. I tried to talk my husband into that some years ago, but he said he wants a house to come home to every evening. He's a big time home body boy.

I went through two transmission rebuilds and the brakes were junk... Calipers siezed up all the time, causing th brakes to never really stop braking (and consequently, BREAKING)... constanly had to replace warped rotors that were ground down beyond resurfacing...
And I never towed anything...
Keep an eye on both the trannie and the brakes.
Be diligent about them.
Praying for ya.
I am envious though of the RV lifestyle.... May you be blessed in it.
