If it isn’t too much trouble, it might be a good idea to put on here some of the things that the book reveals. I’m thinking that most Christians have no idea of where the practices that they take for granted, came from.

Sister Renee, Amanah posted a thread giving a great synopsis on that book in this thread below.

Re: Pagan worship in Christianity.
Navy: then what do we do with 1Cor5:12,13; 6:1-8; James 5:19,20; Rom. 1:;2:1-3; and all the place in Lev. and Deu. that states to kill you own son if he tries to get you to worship something other the Yahushua, yahovah. It is for sure the brother or dad, mom would have to judge their son and brother at some point. Paul, Peter, James, Jude, John all had to be judging the congregation of how they were living, or else they could not have wrote them to change the way they were doing (living). we are all told to do to keep each other in the right path to God. Paul states that if any read 1Cor. 5:3-11; 2Cor.6;15. Why would Paul tell the church (saints) Not to keep company and in another he states not to fellowship, another not to eat. But, Paul states this about those of this church. Then states if we are not ever going to be able to stay away from the world we would have to go out of this world. THE BIBLE IS NOT WROTE TO THE WORLD BUT TO HIS CHURCH (PEOPLE) WHICH ARE TO JUDGE ONE ANOTHER. Heb.10:25 EACH PERSON HAS THE RIGHT TO EXHORT OR IT COULD NOT EXHORT ONE ANOTHER. WE ALL HAVE THE SPIRIT OF GOD WHICH LEADS US NOT MAN. HE IS TO TO SET THE EXAMPLE. NOT RULE.

Re: Pagan worship in Christianity.
I have informed my girl friend I'm not comfortable doing yoga and I don't do Christmas. She asked if she could [xmas] if we were married. I informed her I have no objections. I won't put up but I will help in taking it down. I won't force feed my beliefs
I will attend dinners etc. I use to give money to my children, not anymore though, they are grown.
I don't do Halloween, Easter, and the rest!!!
Aren't I special?

Re: Pagan worship in Christianity.
I should take regularly scheduled vacations from reading htis forum from October -January and then Easter as well just so I can avoid the same stinkin debate every year.
Some of you folsk should take a pill, go watch "Rise of the Guardians" and get over this "It's pagan it's pagan" nonsense. Grown adults losing it over the "paganism" of a holiday yet you'll pile into your pagan inspired church buildings, look up to your pagan inspired single pastor ruler who stands in the pagan inspired pulpit on a pagan inspired platform, hand over your pagan inscribed money, listen to your pagan inspired choir and/or worship leader and yet all that is just as Godly as can be right?

Just because a pagan do it don't make it wrong, especially if God told us we can gather, told us we can sing, told us we can praise, told us we can preach.

Renee, are you including the UPCI in your summation of denominations?

Re: Pagan worship in Christianity.
Question:
Would you all say that Christmas, Easter, holidays, gift giving and birthday celebrations are more of a big deal to females than they are to most males?
In my experience, most men really couldn't care less one way or the other about a lot of these things. Females tend to be the ones who get highly offended when these special days aren't acknowledged.
