BTW, I purposefully mirrored the title of this thread to the women preachers thread.
Admin could you correct the poll question for me?
"Do you accept women as pastoring elders to be biblically consistent?"
It's too long--be more concise and I'll edit it for you.

In my opinion, a woman can do or be anything in the Kingdom that a man can do or be.
Now, obviously in the physical world, a woman could not be a sperm donor. A man could not be a wet nurse or a surrogate mother or an egg donor.
When Joel prophesied about the coming age (the age in which we are now living) he said that God's Spirit would be poured out on all flesh and upon servants and handmaidens and that both sons and daughters would prophesy. I think he was speaking of this New Covenant or Kingdom Age which faded out with John the Baptist and which started when John loosed Jesus into the ministry. We are in a different age than the Old Testament with a priesthood. Every believer (male and female) is a priest with direct access to God. We are all children of the High Priest (Jesus) and we serve together equally and without gender distinction.

Can both every believe be a priest unto God, and operate even in spiritual gifts and also be part of a social order established in the creation order?
Do you believe man is the "head of household" or is that only a cultural consideration? Is there spiritual principle to men taking the lead in the home? Would that also not apply to the "family" of God?
I doubt if I was God's first choice...however because He chose I will be faithful...I am a missionary whatever that may mean to you...
My pastor is a man...this week guess I am the pastor or something around here as Brother Alvear is traveling...will be glad when he gets home...My hand is blistered from breaking bricks my foot has a blister from I guess a bite of something that got in my shoe while clearing and cleaning land for our youth camp...
Many places in our world women are treading into the darkness of Satan's domain...I bless them and pray for them.
While some sit in air conditioned buildings...many women as well as men are just trying to make Jesus known...many people have no idea about American church structure...they meet in houses...and where ever...their lives are in danger...
