I feel bad for the poor little 8 year old boy that worked hard to make a patriotic hat to wear to school, only to have it taken away.

While I understand that the school has a zero tolerance policy for students wearing images of weapons or drugs on their clothing, I see a big difference between a student wearing a picture of an image with a gun on their t-shirt vs. this situation. The toy soldiers represented American patriotism...war has always been a huge part of our country's history. Like it or not.
