Is this a good thing?

The Urshan Graduate School of Theology is moving nearer to accreditation. This is a very involved process. We have been blessed to have accomplished much in this process in record time.

We are now in need of extra funding to move on forward with this process. As a member of the UGST board, I am requesting sincere prayer for the needed funding to be supplied. We are the only theological graduate school of our doctrinal persuasion. The quality of the school is superb. Somewhere, someone, and God knows, can step in and supply this need.

Join with me in this sincere prayer.

They have to wait until Steve Munsey has an open date.

This is true. And the accredidation process is eternal. I worked in public school for seven years and was on various committees dealing with accredidation. Two years ago I became principal of our church school, and began trying to get accredidation. The requirements are unbelievable, from details about every staff member down to minute details like your school library: you have to check the copyright dates on the books because you are only allowed a certain percentage of books more than 20 years old, a certain percentage which are reference books, etc.

I can't imagine what the process is like for a college...if it is aything like our school, it may take upwards of five years!

Freewill Baptist Bible College, which is an accredited college, almost lost their accredidation because their musical instruments were too old and out of shape! They had to buy ten new pianos to save their accredidation!

It's not only very stringent to get it, it's stringent to KEEP it!

Actually...they do! They have an active music department, and just bought a 9' concert Steinway from us!

They're not against music for personal or professional use. They just don't want it in the church worship service!

Yeah. I thought it was funny when I took the tour there that they had a nice music department yet when you go to their chapel services they, of course, don't use any instruments.
