Sis Barb, forgive me for being a bad neighbour. You are right beside me on this blog page, but I haven't dropped until now.
I am glad you are here, and the things you post are most encouraging, and uplifting.

I am glad your first post was on Psalm 23.
One of my favourite books is "A shepherd loooks at the Shepherd and his Sheep" based on Psalm 23.

I will try to stop in more often.

God Bless!

Ron

I have a CD that I really like by Hillsong called "Songs for Communion". Most of the songs are centered around the redemptive work of Jesus Christ at Calvary, the blood and the cross.

For some reason this song really spoke to me today....

Where brokenness and mercy meet
How gently shall redemption speak
For love like ocean waves did break
Upon the shores of sin and shame.

To You my heart will sing O God
For O what lover keeps his song
In spirit & integrity
To join the song the heavens sing

Chorus:
Scarlet hands that bled for me
Servant King my everything
I kneel before You once again
Surrendered now to scarlet hands

When sorrow tries my hope to kill
To worship I have reason still
For light will pierce the darkest night
And peace shall be my lullaby

The time will fade to afterthought
Into forever shall I walk
In Glory's shadow ever free
Redeemer and redeemed to meet.

It speaks for me much more eloquently and beautifully than I could speak for myself. I love the lines.......

For light will pierce the darkest night
And peace shall be my lullaby.

I've never heard it, but the words are beautiful...

This is what the Lord is saying...

I know the plans I have for you
I know just what you're going through
So, when you can't see what tomorrow holds
And yesterday is through
Remember, I know the plans I have for you!!

Lest we forget...

Wherever you are today, be encouraged that God sees and knows...

I know the plans I have for you
I know just what you're going through
So, when you can't see what tomorrow holds
And yesterday is through
Remember, I know the plans I have for you!!

A Friend...

These two portions of Scripture are on my heart this morning...

Prov 17:17

A friend loveth at all times...

Prov 18:24

...there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

A word from the Word...

I will go before thee,
and make the crooked places straight:
I will break in pieces the gates of brass,
and cut in sunder the bars of iron:

And I will give thee the treasures of darkness,
and hidden riches of secret places,
that thou mayest know that I, the LORD,
which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel

(Isaiah 45:2-3).
