One thing that will make Heaven so much more enjoyable than church on Earth is that I won't have to listen to any more preachers make their ridiculous demands.

Brother Epley, no one is saying that. All anyone is saying is that if y'all want to have services every night of the week it's fine, but don't expect everyone to be there just because you say so. I have yet to see anyone try to take away your right to be in church as much as you want to, but I sure see folks trying to take away others' right to be in church as little as they want to.

I certainly cannot take away anyone's right not to go to church but I can encourage them since I think it is of the upmost importance for them to go. The day is wicked-the pressures of life are emormous we find our direction and help in services where the Holy Ghost is moving-the preacher is preaching-the saints are praying. But you are correct church has been my chief joy for these 45 years so I am hard pressed to understand why a person would not enjoy church?

I think we should only eat once a week. A hamburger happy meal every Monday afternoon at 2:00.

That is what saying "lets have church 2 times a month" is. And, any church that only meets twice a month would only be able to offer the spiritual equivalent of a hamburger happy meal...small, substanceless and without nutritional content.

So I ask, if you only want to go twice a month? why bother going at all?

Go fishing, work on old cars, do something you enjoy. Because with such a lackadasical attitude toward the thing God ordained to be there for your strength and edification, enjoyment down here might be all the enjoyment you get.

I hate to resort to tired old scriptures but,

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting oneanother: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Heb 10:26 For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

What is that in modern day english?

1. Don't stop getting together with God's people, like thos other folks are doing.
2. As you see the day aproaching, do it even more.

If one can't go a week or a month and still not live a godly life without a church. Id say there something very wrong with their church teaching to make them so weak!

It has only been mine for about 20 years, but if I live long enough I'll catch up...
