My ex-wife was illegal ... it took about 3 years to fix her legal situation ...

Both my parents were born in PR. The only difference between those on the island and those here in the States is that those here in the States can vote for President.

Three years to get legal isn't that long a time. My mother's second husband still isn't legal, and he's been here for a long time. He almost got himself deported when he and my mom divorced.
