Yeah...but you didn't answer my questions!!!

Do your kids ask about birthdays? What do you tell them, if anything? What are your scriptural reasons, if any?

I'm just curious. Not in attack mode.

That said, he knows his own weaknesses and won't go shopping with me (or the kids) unless he knows he has money to spend.
You know how we get so bored with our clothes! I only buy when it's on sale. I know I'll get tired of it.

I'm going to bed anyway!

You can't talk about Christmas and not digress to spending money. It just doesn't work, Brother!

No particular reason, and we tell the girls that they are older when the years pass. Everyday is a special day for them. My wife and I like it that way.

I KNOW! I know ME. I might love something, and then after wearing it 2-3 times, it will hang in my closet untouched for months, no maybe even YEARS. And if it costs too much, I'll feel too guilty to give it away.

Okay. It's a stretch.

I DON'T think that the majority of the world makes Christmas about Christ. But then again, we don't control the climate of any other household except ours. We just do our best to make things centered around God and godliness, and have a clear conscience.

Fortunately, SHOPPING has NEVER violated my convictions. Okay, ONE time it did, because I spent a truckload of money on myself because I was mad at my husband for forgetting our anniversary, but that is another topic.

Well. Not a truckload. But around $500.
Sounds like fun to me! As they say-you go girl-

I haven't seen a shopping spree like that in 4 or 5yrs! But I still remain hopeful-and tjmaxx will just have to do until then.

But if I had it I would spend too-(sorry that is the truth I can not lie )

Well, Sis, just think about how much money you would save your husband if you didn't do the popish holiday?

Red glitter on the table on Valentine's day? Red hearts? Valentine's cards with cupid on the front?

Do you celebrate birthdays?

None of the above. St Valentine? Anyone still pray the rosary?

No birthdays?

That is for sure a Jehova Witness stance.

Say hello to Prince at the next meeting....
