WhoAmI, While I agree, that the world is steeped in Paganism. We can know by God’s Word that He is not pleased with it. And may even hold us accountable.

But before we can divest ourselves of the profane, we have to discern the difference from the Holy and the profane.

I know the days of the week are pagan, however, there is nothing we can do about that. And we do not worship the days of the week, nor the idols they were name after. We don’t go out and buy presents for Thor on Thursday.

But it is my belief and practice, when I find that something is Pagan, I have nothing to do with it.

I can respect your belief although I do not share it.

Some of these things are referred to as high places. Shun the very appearance of evil and be-careful for nothing. Can't get away from all of it but get away from what you can.

Believe it or not some who WILL NOT participate have been scorned and kicked out of the camp!

If it is God's will for your illness then why are you seeking medical attention to get rid of it?

That can be a blessing in disguise. Why sit in a camp that thinks more of it's festivals dedicated to pagan gods than to our Creator?

Who wants be on the side of Korah when the ground opens up?

I'm sure with you on that.

AreYou Ready, Aren’t you the one that mentioned the book on Paganism in the church, by Barnea and Frank Viola. I have one, but it is packed in a box in storage.

If it isn’t too much trouble, it might be a good idea to put on here some of the things that the book reveals. I’m thinking that most Christians have no idea of where the practices that they take for granted, came from.

Best to find that out now, my friend.

There are women out there that share you're beliefs.

Re: Pagan worship in Christianity.

This seems so funny to me, because many here follow the traditions of man and yet are worried about the pagan background of Christmas. The works based traditions of man are very offensive to God as these works become idols in the life of a believer. We use scripture to denounce Christmas as a pagan holiday but use scripture to justify works that cheapen the Cross of Christ.

What does Bible say man will be judge by?

Well yeah, navygoat. You are correct. I get hit on all sides because I do not follow traditions of man and do not follow pagan traditions.

I do not condemn those who love the Christmas season though. It is very alluring and traditions die hard, if ever in many people's lives.

I do not expect others to live by my convictions.
