I think it is a accurate interpretation. Just because we may not have heard it that way does not mean its not accurate.

Nearby a leading Noble saw this interaction between the farmer and the king. He says to himself, if that guy got a plot of land for a carrot what I will I get if I give a notable gift.
So he goes and brings his best Black Stallion and presents it to the king, the King takes the Horse and says thank you. Well the Noble countenance falls, the King takes notice and then says to the noble. You know why I did what I did, that Farmer loved me and gave his best to me, you gave that horse to yourself."
That story has impacted my approach and love for God and why I do what I do.

Good story! Hadn't heard that one before.
Reminds me of another short story I just read yesterday on the Gospel Coalition blog: http://thegospelcoalition.org/blogs/...you-have-an-a/
"You Have an 'A'"

I watched one of the main sessions with D.A. Carson live on the website. I've noticed that many in the younger Apostolic generation are becoming interested in the Gospel Coalition movement and the leaders behind it (John Piper, Tim Keller, Mark Driscoll, Matt Chandler, Tullian Tchividjian, etc.). I find that trend encouraging.

Those guys would consider apostolics heretics who preach a false gospel.
John Piper was one of my influences that helped me leave the UPC. I now go to Chandler's church (I actually picked this town because of his church). It was Chandler that first preached the gospel in such a way that he didn't just preach the truth but he specifically told what wasn't the truth.
I will be going back home for Easter but they have 6 services planned for Easter weekend.

That's true. And it's one reason why I no longer hold to core UPCI doctrine any longer (Oneness, 3-step, etc.). But when Apostolics pay attention to these men, I find it interesting.

It is very interesting. I have made the observation for many years that I doubt a majority of UPC folks really believe their doctrine.
