I'm always cold. Funny I had hot flashes when I turned 40. Getting close to 50 and I rarely have hot flashes.

Don't think you are safe just yet.

It's just amazing how medical technology can improve one's quality of life. My dad has been through three hip replacement surgeries. They have been talking about scheduling him for the fourth. The joints were designed to last about 10 years, and his have all lasted a bit longer than that. They had told my dad that due to the type of arthritis he has, he would be in a wheelchair at the age of 21. He will be 66 in August, and gets around better than people half his age most of the time.

Yes, it's awesome what they can do now - thank goodness!
I will eventually have to have a knee replacement, but they will put that off as long as I can stand or as long as these gel shots relieve the pain.
The replacements don't last but for around ten years.

Wow, that's great! Glad he's doing good.
Degenerative bone disease is not good.

You don't need to be skeered PO. LOL. Some of us get through some of these changes with a minimum of discomfort and upheaval. I certainly did. I'm blessed!
I think diet plays a large part and that some of the side effects can be eliminated or at least reduced in that way.

If you're going to have to have a knee replacement surgery, I wouldn't put it off.
The younger you are, the easier the surgery and physical therapy following the surgery will be on you.
My aunt who is 68 said it's the best thing she's had done-- and she wished she hadn't waited 10 years from the time they told her she needed to have the surgery.

True, but with this gel option working for now - I'll keep doing them as long as I can.
I'm just praying this round will last for over a year! Asking that in Jesus name!!!!!

LOL! I agree with you and heredity has some to do with it.
I think medication, for the most part, can't be an option for my body. I can hardly even take Aspirin. It acts like a sleeping pill for me and makes my joints hurt for some reason. I rarely get a headache, but when I do I take an Aspirin.
I haven't taken much in the way of medication in my lifetime, thus far.
