The Bible says the work of the cross destroyed HIM, the devil. Not just his works. HIM!

And yet we know the devil still exists and still works. This is the issue. The bible still says he was destroyed, even though he exists and works.

So, if the bible could use such a strong term saying the devil was destroyed, and people all agree the devil still exists and works, then what is so hard to believe the devil is bound, but still exists and works? Being BOUND is not anywhere near a strong term as destroyed. But we have it right there in Hebrews 2 that the devil was said to have been destroyed.

This shows us something. The bible uses terms people today would not use. It's closest phrase today is like playing a game against someone and saying one player destroyed the other. That doesn't mean the one no longer exists. It just shows the complete defeat of one of them.

So, when people tout off the idea the devil is not bound because he still exists, they're talking through their hats and misunderstand how the bible uses terms.

We said all of this before, but spiritually A.D.D. people cannot retain issues of relevance in their memories, and their attention span cannot last more than a few minutes. Hence, they cannot study the 70 weeks of Daniel, and other MOST VITAL issues of prophetic teaching in the Bible.

This shows that what people expect in a BIBLICAL word is not always the case!
