The website you refer to aside, Pastor Poster felt your comment over the line. I as well see it as offensive as can be.

If the remark had simply been ignored there wouldn't be all this focus on it to the extent that I think it's been blown out of proportion. It was a remark made by one poster and I don't think that he meant it quite like it's being made out, but even if he did it's one remark made by one poster.

Seems to me like there's bit of an effort here to single out one person for special treatment. There have been other things said about posters on this forum more damaging far as I'm concerned and never was a voice raised in objection.

Tempest in a teapot far as I'm concerned.

And the general term being used widely towards the board is why I started the thread.

We have defined the particulars Pastor Poster, how do we as a group over come the moniker.

If we can.

It could be you feel it's way out of proportion because you have a different view of the word 'reprobate'.

In an earlier post, you made this statement: I think much of this is folks taking something that was meant somewhat seriously and somewhat humorously and taking it beyond its intent.

It appears you don't mind using, and applying, the term reprobate in a flippant manner.

Whereas, others are saying it should never be used so lightly, or in humor...it's a grave and serious inference to a soul that is beyond any hope of being saved.

Therefore, if every species of reprobate is represented then I have 1 person in the congreagation that is reprobate. But let's assume there are 4 species, or even 10. If that be the case, then among 300 posters those 4 or 10 are really not "many" and in no wise are they "all."
If someone said that about the church I attend, I would be more than a little concerned.

uhhhhh it was your post that took something considered sacred and made folly of it.

This is the fourth time I tell you it offended Pastor Poster and myself.

This is the type of stuff that others looking on see as not worthy of their time.

It was the overall perception that I wanted to raise here.

If you found damaging comments, why does no one report the posts?

Felicity, I did not bring this up but I am glad BOOM did. He meant it exactly as he posted it. He and rrford have confirmed it.

Again, if Daniel or I had called a group of conservatives reprobate, we would have been banned without question. The board would have exploded with cries for our removal.
