1Pe 5:6-7 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Tit 3:2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Thank you, Renda. I want him home soon!!!! I know everything will be fine. It's just a healing process from being born too early. But, he's eating and regular! That's a good sign!
That eating thing is HUGE! Schoolboy Ferd (yea thats right he is 5 and starts school in Sept). was 7 weeks early and spent 2 weeks in NICU because he wouldnt eat.
We actually took him home a little early but I had to chart every ml of milk he drank! he was on the boarderline for a month.
We fed him ever 2 hours for about 3 months.
Todler Ferd was 9 1/2 weeks early and he was in the NICU for a month because he wouldnt eat. That is tuff.
Your little guy eating is HUGE and i am very thankful for it. He will be just fine but right now I know your daughter is going thru it. Just tell her that those who have walked that path are praying and thinking about her!
(oh same for the son in law...us guys are afterthoughts.)

I thought maybe that was the case. My sisters first child did that and he would point to what he wanted. She stopped getting him what he wanted until he "told" her what he wanted.
Needless to say, he was getting on the very spoiled side.
LOL! yea, we are kind of doing the same.

Thanks, Ferd!!! So glad you guys made it through those hard times! We were up and down with you on that! Encouraging post!
He is perfect. My daughter got that shot on her iPhone and sent it to my e-mail. That was before they strapped him up, again, with all the monitors. I feel he will go home very soon!
Update: They feel that the heart rate and blood pressure dropping is because his bowels have not closed off, which is a natural occurrence for any baby and especially a preemie. I don't know what that means. LOL! So, he is having some sort of reflux problem and needs to be burped for a longer period until this situation corrects itself. They are going to give her some medicine to help with this and will still monitor him to make sure they are correct with the assessment.
Thank you for posting the picture. I can't imagine how you must feel - wanting to hold him and not being able to yet.... Hopefully, that doesn't last much longer!
Keep us updated and know that your family is still in my thoughts and prayers!
