Have to comment on this one, brother. That is not speaking about the Christians dealing in tithes, but a contrast with the LEVITICAL PRIESTHOOD and Christ's priesthood. The men that were receiving tithes in this context were not the ministers of the Gospel.

Men that die refer to PRIESTS who died and were replaced, in contrast to Jesus as PRIEST who never dies. So the context here does not prove the church used tithing.
But that does not mean the church CANNOT use tithing. Just use it without the legislation.

I do believe in tithing, Bro Benincasa. I just do not agree that one is cursed if one fails to do so. But God blessed and sanctioned tithing.
Note that I said the church can use tithing. I pay tithes.

Failure to pay tithes will not bring a curse on us. If we pay tithes to escape a curse, then tithes have replaced Jesus who is our escape from the curses of law. Christ became a curse for us. BUt God blesses tithing if we give in faith.

Thank you for answering my question I too believe in tithing, and offerings in the New Testament. Brother Blume how do you teach tithing in the New Covenant?
