The reconciliation in my beliefs is always based on the whole counsel of God rightly divided. So many miss it because they base their beliefs on a "concept" instead of the WHOLE COUNSEL of scripture.

Jesus said "Many are called but few are chosen". So indeed he actually CALLS many. Yet of the many called only few will be chosen. Plenty of scripture shows one can be saved and then be cut off by Jesus for disobedience.
How do you reconcile this with PREDESTINATION? or maybe I should ask what is your belief on PREDESTINATION?

She asked me. She contacted me. She belongs to Jesus, not her pastor, and I belong to the Lord, so she's my sister. This is all Gods Kingdom, and I'm here to serve Him and it. One of His little ones is being lied to and condemned for doing something that Jesus does not judge her by so I want to set the record straight and redeem His good reputation to her so her faith will be renewed.

We are way off topic in this thread. Maybe you can start another.

And one day you may want to come back and finish one that you left prematurely?

Don't worry about that thread...I'm wrong, you're right.

Ah, gotcha - it was late, and my brain was fried.

First - all I did was take Epley's words and change them up a little bit to reflect the converse side. To be honest, I'm not quite as staunch on it as he is, he is the one who made the statement that "anyone who teaches that its ok for a woman to cut her hair is a false prophet, and has secured their spot in hell" (paraphrase).........

My thoughts are that there are several different interpretations of scripture that one could adhere to, and most of those things have absolutely nothing to do with salvation. If you believe a Christmas tree is wrong, that's your prerogative. If you believe that the tribulation will take place post or pre trib, to me, that's not a salvation issue, because none of us really even know until it happens.

But, when you make a statement that any issue such as the ones stated above are directly related to one's salvation, and any preacher who preaches otherwise is a false prophet and will go to hell for preaching it, then you've crossed a line.

I basically used Epley's words against him.

Re: Trying to Rescue Another from HMH Doctrine

I did not have time to read through 9 pages of what I'm sure will wind up being a standards debate so I will just answer the question in the title of this thread.

This person is your friend, simply tell them. Tell them that you do not believe in HMH and why you think it is a false doctrine. If they know you and know your walk with God is genuine they will listen whether they do or don't act.

We are not responsible for changing others and your friend may have many reasons for wanting to hold on to this teaching for now... Trying to save ourselves, and believing we know better than God has been a part of being human since the beginning of time. Still most who seek after God will eventually find His pure love.

Good for you for caring enough to help someone else along on the journey. They are blessed to have a friend like you.

And YOU not her Pastor has been carrying a burden for her all these years. YOU not her Pastor has been there through all her ups and downs. YOU not her Pastor has prayed for her and instructed her. Maybe YOU should pastor somewhere art a church that is NOT Apostolic unless things have changed do not attend an Apostolic church.

All I can say is WOW - seems like I read somewhere in my Bible that it is not our decision who makes it to heaven - I am paraphrasing a bit of course - but maybe you should try reading your whole Bible.
