PO, my point is that there are couples who have remained faithful to one another in spite of serious hardships, and they make the rest look bad.

Adultery is inexcusable. IMO, it would be better for the couple to honestly face their problems, and if they can't be reconciled, possibly divorce, than for one of them to commit adultery with a third party. Fornication(sexual sin) is a sin against God, other people, AND your own body--the temple of God. It's serious.

In the OT, the adulterer and his mistress were stoned, but his wife was not. (or the adulteress and her mister)

If the wife were equally to blame, then why not stone her as well?

Because she's the "innocent party"--that's why.

Say it - the dog returns to his vomit when he's weak and becomes carnal?

So she taught him a lesson by cheating on him? That's how she opened his eyes?

That's fantastic. What a great example for us all. LOL!!!!

If he forgave her and they're happy now--great. But that was definitely the wrong way to resolve their issues. She could have taken it to God in prayer, and kept the problem where it belonged--inside the marriage.

No, there was no need, if he had not had driven her to it.

What about Jesus saying if someone smites you on the cheek, turn to him the other cheek? He didn't say - well, they asked for it! Smack 'em!

PO, you are very stubborn and headstrong. I'm sure that's part of what your husband loves about you, no need to change it on our account!!!!
